LeNUNES is the indie/folk/pop songwriting project of Tom Nunes and Lisa LeGros Nunes.
Harmonic vocals, duo bass, occasional piano, guitar, and drums. Poetic, and artfully crafted, LeNUNES songwriting is relevant and modern. "We try to write music that is genuine about the human experience." A respected session bassist and studio engineer, Tom has worked with John Fahey, Sara Evans, Dave Wakeling (English Beat, General Public), Patrick Lamb, Casey Neill, Little Sue, and many others. Vocalist and songwriter, Lisa Legros Nunes has released multiple pop/rock albums with Lovre/LeGros (Eric Lovre, of the Dharma Bums) and has guested on several Northwest recordings, sharing the stage with Dan Jones, The Nettles, John Doe, Mill Race, and many other regional artists. Lisa has also written music for film. LeNUNES recent release "Sunshine and Sadness," was inspired by a two-year sabbatical in southern California. This follows a 2006 self-titled CD by Lisa that also featured Tom Nunes on bass and Ezra Holbrook (The Decemberists, Dr. Theopolis) on drums. Hey guys - Loooove the new CD!!! It would sound awesome even if the songs sucked (but they don't). I think Tom sounds a little like David Byrne on track (#7?) (in a good way). Cool that you put wifers on there, didn't expect that! Can't wait to get it on my pod for further inspection...
